Silk-screen

Ink is pushed through a fine mesh stencil directly onto the fabric, layer by layer for each color. Look for a slightly raised, matte finish that blends into the fabric — it feels soft to the touch, almost part of the shirt itself. Best for bold, simple designs in bulk.

Direct to Garment

Similar to inkjet printing, but for fabric — a specialized printer sprays ink directly into the garment’s fibers. The print sits flat and soft, with no texture at all, making it ideal for photo-realistic designs and detailed artwork. If a print looks like it’s part of the fabric with zero texture, it’s DTG.

Direct to Film

The design is printed onto a special film, coated with adhesive powder, then heat-pressed onto the garment. This creates a slightly glossy, smooth plastic-like layer sitting on top of the fabric. If you can feel a thin film or slight sheen when you run your finger over the print, that’s DTF — durable and vibrant on almost any fabric.
